Dear Family and Friends,
We has quite a day here in La Cima! I just came over to my place at Ahuazotepec after dinner with the missionaries (hotdogs over a bonfire) and sharing highs and lows. The day started bright and early but we found many more challenges than expected, so by midday the two houses were behind schedule. In the afternoon we picked up the pace, team 1 got to put the first half of stucco in their house and team 2 managed the feat of bringing all the materials to their work site. The house of Valentina’s family is very high up the mountain, and not accessible by car, so the missionaries had to carry up 110 pound bags of cement and dozens of buckets of sand, a strenuous workout to say the least, but they persevered and got it done! By the end of the day they still had energy for a soccer game with the kids. Mass at 7:00 pm was very well attended, the locals appreciate having us here very much and like to share with us the Eucharistic Celebration.
I apologize because I’m not taking pictures; I know the priests and some dads are but I haven’t gotten them from them. I’ll do my best to remember tomorrow.
Please keep us in your prayers and count with ours!
